How to buy a book directly on Audible
Open Audible.com in a browser and sign in with your Amazon account. An account lets you purchase and listen; you do not need to start a paid membership or free trial. Follow Audible’s cash-purchase instructions.
- Find the audiobook and check its narrator and edition.
- Select the button showing the cash price, such as “Buy for $X.XX”.
- Confirm the total and payment; the purchased book is added to your Library.
Cash or a credit: which is cheapest for your book?
Compare the book’s cash price with the total you would pay for credits today. A lower price per credit does not automatically mean a lower bill if you only want one book.
For example, a hypothetical four-dollar audiobook is cheaper to buy with cash than with a single Jaideepass credit. A hypothetical eighteen-dollar audiobook costs less with that credit, provided the title is available to purchase for one credit. The book prices are illustrations; the current single-credit price is $5.90 on our Audible product page.
